What are Your Crafting Goals This Year?

The start of a year is resolution time, but it can also be a great time to lay out some goals for other aspects of your life.  Many of us crafters have heaps of projects and ideas we want to work on, and there just isn’t enough time in the day to get to them all.  I still have a skirt cut out from last winter, ready to sew but unlikely to be finished in this decade.  So this year, how about we set some goals to accomplish with our crafting and see how far we can get?

Your goals can be small or large, depending on your ambition and how much time you are willing to devote.  For me, this is the year I will finally tackle knitting socks.  I have everything I need, but it is so easy to put off actually taking a step and getting started.  I will also see about finishing that skirt.  I’ve been pregnant for most of the past year and am finally getting my body back, so now is a great time to finish the skirt I scrimped and saved to afford!

Other goals that all of could probably benefit from are things like organizing the craft room or space, going through old craft supplies and donating or selling them, or devoting a little extra time every day or week to getting crafting projects done.

How about starting now to line up Christmas gifts for next year?  I already have the supplies to make some essential oil bath salts, and dishcloths are always well received.

What about you?  Do you have some craft goals to accomplish this year?  Will this be the year you finally finish that tough project you’ve dreamed of?
